Tommy Hilfiger's TommyNow is returning to New York City on Sept. 8 to showcase the second TommyXZendaya collection at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem. The collection, co-designed by Hilfiger and global brand ambassador Zendaya, will continue to celebrate the inclusion, diversity, and empowerment the pair brought to Paris for spring 2019.

The brand's signature "See Now, Buy Now" concept first launched in 2016 in New York and it has since embarked on a worldwide tour to bring TommyNow to cities and audiences across the globe. New York will be the last stop on the experiential tour, after showcasing high-powered productions in Paris, Shanghai, Milan, London, and Los Angeles.

Since 1934, the Apollo has been one of the most famous performance venues for African-American musical culture, hosting the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Patti LaBelle, a young Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, and the Supremes. Tommy Hilfiger announced that the fall 2019 TommyXZendaya collection, "takes cue from these strong and confident women, reimagining era-defining power dressing with a bold modern edge."

"After traveling the world with TOMMYNOW and an unforgettable show in Paris with Zendaya, I’m excited to return to where our 'See Now, Buy Now' journey started,” Tommy Hilfiger said in a statement. “Zendaya’s desire to bring TOMMYNOW to Harlem felt like an amazing next step in expressing her vision for the future. Her statement-making point of view in everything she does is what makes her such an inspiring collaborator – it is honor to continue to provide her with a platform in the fashion industry to share this.”

The Spring 2019 TommyXZendaya show in Paris paid homage to the historic 1973 French-U.S. "Battle of Versailles" fashion show, in which American designers were pitted against European designers to raise money for the Chateau de Versailles' restoration. The 2019 runway was heavily inspired by '70s disco and featured an all-black cast of models who spanned generations, including Grace Jones, Pat Cleveland, Jourdan Dunn, and Winnie Harlow.

In accordance with Tommy's "See Now, Buy Now" concept, all TommyxZendaya runway looks will be available for immediate purchase in more than 70 countries across the globe, including on the brand's website, in Tommy Hilfiger stores, and through select wholesale partners.
