Virgil Abloh is a busy man.

In between his leadership roles at Off-White and Louis Vuitton menswear, the 38-year-old designer has been working on his first-ever jewelry line. Abloh spoke about the project in a recent interview with WWD, confirming that the inaugural release will center around the paper clip. Yes, the paper clip.

Abloh will debut the jewelry at the "Floral Shop" pop-up store during Paris Fashion Week. The event will take place at Hôtel Costes, where he will also unveil his new Off-White handbag and footwear designs.

"I curated my favorite flowers, simple bouquets that can be bought, but I'm also previewing high jewelry that’s of my own name," Abloh told WWD. "It's not associated to Off-White per se [...] Those will be on view for the first time. I've been developing [the jewelry] for three years."

Abloh teased the jewelry on social media this week, sharing a photo of an office supplies box labeled "Recycled Jumbo Paper Clips," as well as a picture of him rocking paper clip necklaces.

Abloh said the collection will feature a necklace, earrings, and more.

"The idea is like high jewelry for all," he explained. "It’s a crash—it’s a paper clip, but it’s also pavé diamonds made in a very specific way."

The "Floral Shop" pop-up kicks off Thursday and will conclude Jan. 29.

Abloh is also teaming up with Mr. Porter on an extensive collection dubbed "Modern Office"—a 44-piece ready-to-wear range that re-imagines classic workwear designs like trousers, trench coats, and button-ups. The collection will drop Jan. 21 at Mr. Porter.
