During an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Tracy McGrady made a bold claim regarding Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, saying that the Brooklyn Nets’ two-headed monster is the most talented duo in NBA history.
When asked by Sharpe if KD and Kyrie is the “most skilled duo,” T-Mac replied, “Without a doubt. Without a shadow of a doubt.”
McGrady went on to declare that not even LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, while paired together in Miami, were “touching them two boys.”
“I haven’t seen a pair, a duo that skilled… Mike and Pip… that’s the only thing I can go off of though,” T-Mac said. “There’s no other dynamic duo that compares to KD and Kyrie. Even if you look at what LeBron and D-Wade was, skill-wise, they still not touching them two boys.”
Although some basketball fans won’t agree with McGrady’s hot take, neither LeBron or D-Wade seem to have a problem with it.
“And that is not a dig,” Wade commented on Twitter. “Them two dudes are SKILLED af.” King James concurred, writing, ““I see no lie told! They are 2 of the most skilled players of ALL-TIME.”
