5-Star Recruit Jahki Howard to Join Kanye West-Backed Donda Academy

Top basketball prospects Jahki Howard, Jalen Hooks, and Robert Dillingham are set to join Kanye West's new school, Donda Academy in Southern California.

Jahki Howard, one of the country’s top high school basketball players, revealed that he will be attending the Kanye West-backed Donda Academy in Southern California.

“I will be moving to California and I will be transferring to Donda academy, I want to THANK YOU NORCROSS and the whole BLUE DEVIL FAMILY STILL WILL BE MY FAMILY. #donda,” Howard wrote on Instagram.

Howard is a 2024 top-five prospect, and will reportedly be joined by two other top basketball prospects in Jalen Hooks and Robert Dillingham.

According to IndyStar, the new private school will be located in Simi Valley, California. Hooks told the outlet that transferring to Donda Academy is a “great opportunity.”

“It’s just one of those things you can’t pass up,” he added. “It was more of a family decision, too. All of us just felt like it was a chance to reach my full potential and grow and get ready for the college level.”

Following his Donda album, Kanye has been expanding the Donda brand. On Monday, reports surfaced that the rapper filed a trademark application for a line of Donda-branded electronic products.

“DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas,” Kanye tweeted in 2012 upon announcing the brand. “I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, [A&Rs], writers, publicist, social media experts, app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionists.”
