According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gordon violated the NFL's performance-enhancing substances and substances of abuse policies. This suspension marks his sixth since 2013 and it comes almost exactly a year after he was suspended by the NFL for similar issues. Suspensions and a rehab stint also caused Gordon to miss his entire 2015 and 2016 NFL seasons with the Browns.

Josh Gordon was suspended indefinitely for violating substance abuse policy Dec. 20, 2018.

The former Pro-Bowler was waived by the New England Patriots from the injured reserve earlier this season. He was then picked up off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks in November. Gordon has seven catches for 139 yards with Seattle this season, including Sunday's magnificent 58-yard, fingertip reception.
