Eli Manning's career with the New York Giants might not be over just yet.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur announced Wednesday that Eli will "likely" be the team's starting quarterback heading into Week 14. His successor, Daniel Jones, snagged the starting spot early into the season, but an ankle injury has him in a walking boot.

Adding to the hype is the fact the New York legend is set to lead the Giants into a Monday night contest against their NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Here's how the sports world reacted to the news of Eli's possible return.

Eli Manning played in 234 career games and never once missed a game due to injury.

Daniel Jones played in 11 career games before missing his first game due to injury.

Eli Manning's Iron Man streak is a remarkable and oft-overlooked part of his incredible career.

Eli Manning returning from the bench to kill the Eagles’ season would be one the most hilarious NFL subplots in recent memory. https://t.co/wfyRwwfTmN
