Lamar Odom dodged a potentially fatal incident over the weekend.
According to TMZ Sports, the retired NBA athlete was involved in a shooting that occurred last Friday at a Hooters located in Queens. Odom was reportedly leaving the restaurant in the early hours of July 20 when he and his friends got into a verbal altercation with another group. TMZ reports that the incident quickly escalated when a man from the other party drew a gun and began firing shots in the air.
Thankfully, no one was injured during the encounter, as the other group allegedly fled the scene soon after one of their guys started shooting.
The NYPD is now investigating the incident, which was caught on surveillance. Authorities have made no arrests and are continuing to look for the gunman.
Odom is reportedly cooperating with police and has not been accused of any crime.
