You knew it was going to happen. In the hours leading up to Game 7 of the 2016 World Series, there were lots and lots of people who pointed out that the Indians were on the verge of blowing a 3-1 series lead to the Cubs just like the Warriors did back in June against the Cavaliers. Warriors fans in particular were not going to miss out on the chance to rub Cleveland sports fans’ faces in "3-1" after the punishment they’ve endured over the last five months. So when the Cubs recorded the final out on Wednesday night and won their first World Series in 108 years, "3-1" started flying down Twitter timelines everywhere:
And it wasn’t just fans tweeting it out, either. Draymond Green, who has certainly been subjected to his fair share of "3-1" tweets this year, sent one out, too:
