On Friday afternoon, the Cavaliersdecided to fire their head coach David Blatt, even though they were 30-11 at the time and at the top of the NBA's Eastern Conference (they are the best team to ever fire their coach midseason). So we imagined Blatt’s weekend going something like this:
- Wake up
- Cry about losing job
- Wipe eyes with $20 million guaranteed contract
- Poke holes in LeBron James voodoo doll
- Rest and repeat
Turns out, he had a better weekend than that, though! While Tyronn Lue was busy calling out the Cavaliers’ Big 3 for not being in good enough shape, Blatt was apparently shopping in Cleveland and chowing down on Cheesecake Factory. Because you know, when you've got all the free time in the world, why not?
Losing your job obviously sucks. But as Blatt just proved, shopping and eating are two excellent ways to deal with it.
