Cam Newton is sick and tired of NFL referees not calling penalties when opposing players hit him late. He’s been dealing with it all season long—he appeared to sustain a handful of late hits during the Panthers’ first game of the season against the Broncos—and he’s officially had enough. So he went off on NFL referees after the Panthers’ game against the Cardinals on Sunday and said "enough is enough" when he was asked about hits like this one that went uncalled during the contest:

"It’s really taking the fun out of the game for me," he said. "At times, I don’t even feel safe. And enough is enough. I plan on talking to Commissioner Goodell about this. And I don’t know what I have to do."

Unfortunately, the outfit that Newton wore to his post-game press conference stole the spotlight on Sunday, so that’s getting more attention right now than the comments he made about late hits:

But if Newton is as frustrated as he seems, then he should 100 percent seek out a meeting with Roger Goodell and talk to him about it. He’s one of the biggest names in the NFL, and if he doesn’t feel safe out on the football field, the league needs to hear him out.
