Brandon Marshall and Darrelle Revis got into an altercation at Jets training camp Friday that involved Marshall taking a swipe at Revis. It started with trash talk, and ended with a teammate picking Marshall up and carrying him away.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, the players had been jawing throughout practice, and it led to Marshall approaching Revis while Revis was on the field. Marshall walked over from the sideline, then reportedly tried to slap Revis, but didn't connect.

Marshall also reportedly yelled comments about DeAndre Hopkins at Revis. Last year, with Revis covering Hopkins, the Houston receiver hauled in two touchdowns and 118 yards on five catches.

After practice, Marshall explained what happened and also called Revis “the best to ever do it.”

"I beat him twice times in a row, and, on the third, he swung and hit me in the face," Marshall said. "Ever since then, it got really competitive. That came back up in that moment. I told him, 'Don't ever put your hands in my face again like that.' He kind of baited me to do it, and I did it. It kind of went too far, but there's a thin line between football and being a man."

New York Post reporter Bart Hubbuch had more on the incident.

That last tweet is some real talk, though. Shout out to the Jets for actually letting their players talk about this. We needed some NFL drama badly.
