The weather during the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers match on Thursday led to a rain delay, and fans got particularly messy as they waited. A number of fans at the inner concourse areas of the Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina got into a violent brawl while hundreds watched.

It's not exactly clear what started the fight, but some fans attempted to separate belligerents before it got even crazier.

The game itself wasn't great either. Following the 20-14 loss to the Bucs, Panthers quarterback Cam Netwon took the fall for their lackluster performance.

"It's hard to look defensive guys in their eyes after a game like this, because offensively we didn't hold up our end of the bargain," he explained. "We just didn't uphold our end, and we're past due. Special teams had a good return, defensively was stout all game, but all fingers are just pointing back to me specifically and our offense."

"I didn't get the job done... and it's frustrating," he added. "I wish I could say something other than that, but that's the facts."
