The NBA conducted their annual rookie survey in which the rookies are asked to name their favorite NBA player. The favorite by a considerable margin was LeBron James, who won 38 percent of the vote.
Kevin Durant came in second with 20 percent. Tied for third are Kawhi Leonard and Damian Lillard's 8 percent. James Harden and Devin Booker tied behind them with 5 percent. Shockingly, Yahoo Sports reported that not one rookie voted for Warriors superstar Steph Curry.Â
Along with their favorite NBA player, the first-years also picked who they expected to be named Rookie of the Year. No. 1 pick Zion Williamson topped the list with 35 percent. followed by No. 2 pick Ja Morant's 27 percent. Zion's teammates RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish are tied for third with 5 percent of the vote.Â
