The Virginia Cavaliers beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders after going into overtime on Monday night to become the 2019 NCAA Men's Basketball National Champions.
It's the first time the Cavaliers have won a men's basketball national championship. The game took place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The final score was 77-85.
Virginia's De'Andre Hunter scored a career-high 27 points during the game while Kyle Guy made 24 points.
Last year, Virginia became the first No. 1 seed to be defeated by a No. 16 seed in NCAA men's tournament history.
