Speaking to TMZMatt Barnes doubled down on his comments regarding Donald Trump calling LeBron James dumb (which, as you probably know, is something Trump said on Friday night).

"It's unfortunate, with LeBron doing so much for the community, for his hometown, and for people in general," Barnes said. "It's unfortunate that the leader of our country finds time to put people down like that. That's why I thought it was so important for Michael Jordan to step up, because Trump's whole thing is trying to divide us. We need to show we are all together, we are united, but we don't fuck with him."

Barnes continued, "The stuff he picks and chooses to discuss, he wants to talk about Kaep[ernick] and sports, but then he wants to call the KKK people that rally 'fine people' [...] He picks and chooses his spots that he wants to interject, and intervene in. And as a black community, as a black culture, we're not having it."

The former NBA player also said that he was frustrated after hearing of the president's tweet because he sees LeBron as going the extra mile with his contributions to the community. "For the dumbass president to come out and try to call him dumb is crazy," Barnes added.

It's not the first time Barnes has spoken on Trump's LeBron insult. He previously made his thoughts known via Twitter.

Barnes also said he's interested in his own political career and is eyeballing the Sacramento mayor's position at some point in the undetermined future.

And though I just summarized all that he said, the video's below for anyone who's interested:
