Boxing Fans Compared Gervonta Davis to Cookie Monster After He Wore This Wild Blue Hoodie

Gervonta Davis—and his crazy blue hoodie—stole the show on the Mayweather/McGregor undercard.

As expected, Gervonta Davis beat Francisco Fonseca during his match on the Floyd Mayweather/Conor McGregor undercard on Saturday night. It was a bittersweet victory, seeing as how he was stripped of his IBF Junior Lightweight title on Friday night after he missed making weight for his fight against Fonseca. It also ended in some controversy with Davis winning by knockout after hitting Fonseca in the back of the head.

But even before his match with Fonseca started, Davis managed to steal the show at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas by rocking a wild blue hoodie during his ring entrance.

The hoodie led to more than a few comparisons to Cookie Monster. In fact, there were so many comparisons made that both "Gervonta Davis" and "Cookie Monster" were trending throughout Davis’ fight with Fonseca.
