This shouldn't come as a huge shock, but Mike Ditka isn't real happy with Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the national anthem prior to games to protest. And the former NFL player/coach/analyst had some things to say about the 49ers quarterback when he was asked about him during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Friday morning.
Ditka—sounding straight out of South Park—went off on Kaepernick for not standing during "The Star-Spangled Banner" and told him that, if he's so unhappy living in the United States, he should move out of the country. "Anybody who disrespects this country and the flag," Ditka said, "if they don’t like the country, they don’t like our flag, get the hell out."
He continued on by saying that he doesn't respect Kaepernick or his position. "I have no respect for Colin Kaepernick," he said. "He probably has no respect for me, that’s his choice. My choice is that I like this country, I respect our flag, and I don’t see all the atrocities going on in this country that people say are going on."
