What makes a great soccer kit? Is it the feel of the material, the look of the shirt, or the historical significance behind the jersey? Depending on who you talk to, the answer is probably some sort of combination of all three. Throughout different decades in the sport’s history, the evolution of style and culture is apparent. We’ve gone from the simplest of designs to color schemes that have left us guessing at which team they represent, and from tight fitting shirts, to baggy kits, and back again. A great soccer shirt is coveted by collectors, and holds a special place in the hearts of the players that wore them.
