An early wear-test sample of the upcoming Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 3.0 collab began floating around the net earlier this week, showcasing what's to come from the New York artist and the sportswear giant in 2025. Now, that same version of the model has emerged on the online marketplace Depop and is listed for a whopping $5,000.
According to the listing, Depop seller Gennalexa listed the unreleased Tom Sachs x Nike sneaker yesterday. The pair is identical to the wear-test sample of the Mars Yard 3.0 that leaked this week, featuring a grey and black colorway on the low-cut upper. This early version of the collab does not have a Swoosh logo on the sides, which will be present on the upcoming retail pair. Confirming that this is a sample version is the text printed on the interior saying, "Sample Property of Nike Inc. Not for Resale." The sneaker is listed as a men's size 9 and in "good condition."
Back in September, Nike announced that its partnership with Sachs is back on, with the sneaker currently being wear-tested. The statement also confirmed that the Mars Yard 3.0 is coming in 2025, but a firm release date wasn't announced.
