When you break it down, you realize foodies and sneakerheads have a lot in common. They're both two parties that obsess, learn about, and celebrate seemingly common things. However, it only takes a few minutes with a food-lover or a shoe junkie to understand that the passion for good grub and dope sneakers is anything but common. The crack team at Foot Locker Canada knows this all too well, so they collaborated with some of the best of each niche in the world to create a new sneaker-inspired, food-loving video series aptly called SOLE FOOD.

The web show is hosted by local Toronto Influencer, Entrepreneur and Restauranteur, Kai Bent-Lee, and bridges the gap between clean creps and fresh plates. Each episode features an unreleased sneaker and a special guest who Kai then brings to one of his favourite Toronto restaurants. The debut edition of the series follows Kai and his father, Iron Chef and local legend, Susur Lee as they get an early look at the upcoming Adidas Continental 80. The shoe gets previewed in white and black colourways and pulls from a retro tennis style. They then head to Luckee restaurant and reflect on dinners at home and the origin of delicious Chinese meals like dim sum.

You can watch the full video above via Foot Locker Canada's YouTube page. As for the Adidas Continental 80s, you can grab them in Foot Locker stores when they drop on June 21. In the meantime, you can take a closer look at the slick piece below, which utilizes a split rubber cupsole, light EVA mid, and French terry lining.
