The Nike Air Force 1 never really went away, but it's definitely surged in popularity over the past few years, and it's largely due to limited collaborations. The biggest one last year was Virgil Abloh's re-working of the basketball sneaker that first launched in 1982.

According to a study done by Stock X and High Snobiety, it's shown that 27 percent of the Air Force 1s bought or sold through Stock X were the Virgil Abloh collaboration, which resold for an average of $528

He was followed up by Travis Scott, who also received his own Air Force 1 collaboration last year, which are reselling for $380.

Either way you cut it. Air Force 1s were a good investment in 2017. Read the complete list here.
