George Lopez’s New Year’s Eve comedy show came to an early end last night after the comedian fell ill on stage.

During his set at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Washington, Lopez apologized to fans as he began to feel unwell. In a video shared by TMZ, Lopez can be seen saying sorry as an eyewitness told the publication that his hesitancy to continue took place between 30 and 45 minutes into his stand-up stint. He reportedly began sweating and requesting water, and eventually was handed a glass.

“You could tell something was wrong, but it was not clear what was wrong,” witness Sabrina Alvarez told the publication.

Eventually, Lopez put a premature end to the show and stepped off stage. An ambulance soon arrived at the venue, but it remains unclear if George was taken to a hospital, as his team did not respond to TMZ’s request to comment.

His second gig of the night, which was set to take place at 8 p.m. at the casino, has been rescheduled to March 18. Before then, Lopez has eight dates scheduled for the top of the year, with performances in Texas, California, and beyond.

Earlier yesterday, Lopez shared a throwback clip from his Lopez Tonight talk show and sent love to the late Betty White, who recently passed at the age of 99.

“You know you’re loved when the entire world feels like 99 years just isn’t enough💔💔,” he wrote. “Your light is too bright to ever be dimmed. Thank you for the years of laughter and comedic genius, you will be dearly missed. 🙏🏽🤍🕊”
