UPDATE 08/18/15:

The tiger did not escape from a Tyga photoshoot at T.J. Maxx, though a photoshoot is actually involved with the tiger's seemingly sudden presence in an abandoned building. According to NBC News, the tiger was reportedly at the crumbling Packard plant for a photoshoot, though owners of the building were unaware of animal involvement in the previously agreed-upon use of the plant. The tiger, as tigers do, briefly broke loose during the shoot. Carry on, Detroit.

Though information on the exact nature of this tiger's dwelling status is currently a bit scarce, the video above purports to depict the discovery of a tiger in an abandoned building in Detroit. This claim is confirmed by a small but growing number of tweets expressing a predictable level of shock and/or Detroit jokes upon seeing the video:

Lit indeed, Aaron. Lit indeed. All jokes aside, one must properly explore a small but brain-dominating list of theories as to why exactly a tiger is casually taking over abandoned buildings in Detroit:

Did this tiger escape from a recent Tyga photo shoot at a T.J. Maxx in Los Angeles?

Is this tiger working undercover as a lion ally, plotting to avenge the death of the beloved Cecil the Lion by devising a clever, online-only smear campaign aimed at assh:)le dentists?

Is Detroit simply just this abandoned?

Fear not, Twitter is on the case:
