Mercifully, the second part of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune adaptation is nearly upon us.

In recent weeks, Duneheads like myself have been inundated with a slew of updates regarding the new film, including some hype-boosting first looks at new cast members like Florence Pugh and Austin Butler. Production on Dune: Part Two, which Villeneuve has been careful to not refer to as a sequel, was announced to the world as having kicked off back in July of last year.

Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya return as Paul and Chani, respectively, and are joined in this continuation of Villeneuve’s take on the classic Frank Herbert novel by a fittingly stacked cast of more-than-familiar names. We can also expect to again see Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson, and Dave Bautista again taking up their roles from the first film. Other newcomers to the cast, meanwhile, include Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux.

Dune: Part Two hits theaters on Nov. 3. Up top, see the newly released trailer from Warner Bros. Pictures.

For Chalamet, this isn’t the only high-profile release on the calendar for 2023. A little over a month after Dune: Part Two rolls out, we’ll be getting the theatrical unveiling of Paul King’s Wonka, starring Chalamet as a young Willy Wonka.

Zendaya, meanwhile, will star in and co-produce Bones and All and Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers this September.
