The Bear, already great, has just added even more greatness to its lineup ahead of the unveiling of a new season.

Wednesday night, Variety cited exclusive sources as confirming that Bob Odenkirk has joined the acclaimed FX series in an undisclosed role. Noted in the report is that Odenkirk, who last year bid adieu to his Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul character Saul Goodman, is believed to be joining the cast in a guest role capacity.

Complex has reached out to a rep for Odenkirk, as well as to FX, for comment. This story may be updated.

Odenkirk is currently two episodes away from wrapping up the first season rollout of Lucky Hank on AMC. In the series, which has fittingly garnered strong reviews since its premiere this March, Odenkirk plays an English professor whose academic and interfamily crises come to a head in some acutely existential (and bleakly hilarious) ways.

AMC, of course, was also the home of both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The latter came to a close last August after six seasons, with Odenkirk having since opened up about the difficulty of saying goodbye to a character who has become so integral to his artistic journey.

The Bear stars Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Ayo Edebiri and is set to return to FX for its second season in June. During the 2023 Oscars ceremony, FX shared a decidedly brief teaser for the new season. Revisit that below.
