Katt Williams is again speaking about his own alleged experiences with Harvey Weinstein, claiming to Nashville-based comedian and influencer Theo Von that the disgraced former film producer once he offered him “two actresses” as though they were “playing cards.”
The Weinstein mention comes in around two hours into Katt and Theo’s lengthy, cigarettes-fueled conversation, with the latter first asked about instances of celebrities receiving alleged offers to “compromise themselves sexually for entertainment.” After a pause, Katt responded by zooming out a bit, claiming that one could apply his criticisms to any field.
“Not entertainment, exclusively,” Williams said. “Politics, religion, science. Everywhere. Some of this is human nature, right? Because we listen and we don’t judge.”
From there, Theo asked if Katt had any examples in his own career, specifically in terms of what to “look out for.” This resulted in Weinstein being briefly brought up, adding to Katt’s past remarks about the former Weinstein Company co-chair and convicted sex offender, namely in his widely discussed Shannon Sharpe interview just over a year ago.
“Most of the stuff I wouldn’t have believed until I had to get to a certain level to get to see the proof,” Williams said. “I was as shocked as anybody about how powerful Harvey Weinstein was at the time that I was meeting with him and how he could not be told no, that he gets whatever he wants. You follow what I’m saying? And I thought that didn’t apply to me because I don’t care about nothing. … And then he offered me two actresses like they was playing cards. I was like, what?”
Katt didn’t elaborate on the alleged moment further, except to say that he has a motto, of sorts, that he subscribes to in such scenarios, one that Theo then argued could apply elsewhere.
“Look, in these scary situations, I don’t even leave it up to me,” Katt said. “I’m gon’ do what the superhero would do in this part of the movie, regardless, and deal with what happens after. Just because, it’s a story and I know it’s a story. It’s my story.”
In his Shannon chat in January 2024, Katt alleged that Weinstein had at one point “offered to suck my penis in front of all my people at my agency.”
This week, Weinstein is expected to return to court in connection with a retrial following an overturned conviction in New York, which is separate from his 2022 rape conviction in Los Angeles.
