Ahead of the theatrical release of its first act, jeen-yuhs—the three-part documentary series on the artist formerly known as Kanye West—has received a new trailer.

Directing the Creative Control and TIME Studios-backed trilogy is the filmmaking duo of Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, two names that should ring as quite familiar for longtime Ye fans. At a private screening in New York last month, TIME Studios president Ian Orefice detailed how personally “inspiring” he considered the doc to be.

“They were able to capture, not just the footage, but with the empathy of Coodie’s camera, the most special story that I’ve ever seen. … This film is inspiring,” Orefice said.

The doc has received an added layer of attention in recent weeks following public comments from Ye that were shared amid coverage of Act 1’s Sundance Film Festival premiere.

In a Jan. 21-dated Instagram post that remained live at the time of this writing, the Donda (and Donda 2) artist said he “must get final edit and approval” on the project prior to its Feb. 16 Netflix drop date. Coodie told Rolling Stone he ran into Ye days after the IG post, at which point they “talked as brothers” without mention of it.

Fans will have a chance to see Act 1 of jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy in select theaters on Feb. 10, with the Netflix rollout kicking off on Feb. 16 and continuing across three weeks. And if current (and publicly announced) plans hold true, Ye fans will also be receiving that Donda sequel this month. Future is executive producing the new album, recording sessions for which have been meticulously chronicled across social media.
