"I didn't know how to pole dance," she explained to Fallon when asked if her own history with the art form included knowledge on the world depicted in the based-on-a-true-story production. To fully get into character, Lopez was able to get some advice from one of her co-stars, Cardi B.

"I remember I called Cardi, Cardi's in the movie as well—Cardi B—and I was like 'You have to be in this movie, you know this world, you could teach us,'" she said Tuesday. "I was like, 'I'm learning how to pole dance. This is really hard!' She goes, 'Oh yeah, it took me years years to master but now I’m great at it!' I was like, 'Well, then you have to be in the movie!'"

As for acting tips from Lopez to Cardi, none were required.

"She's such a natural at what she does and this was so suited to her and she really knew this world," Lopez said of her co-star. "I told her, 'You just have to be the person that you were when I first started looking at you on Instagram. That girl? That's the girl that we need' . . . She knew exactly what to do."

Usher's appearance in the film, Lopez's relationship with Alex Rodriguez, and more were also discussed. See the rest of the clips below.
