We guess dreams really do come true. Stranger Things star David Harbour, who recently got Greenpeace to send him to Antarctica, posted a video on Twitter of him dancing among a flock of emperor Penguins. Back in January, Harbour took to Twitter to ask how many retweets he would need to "hone the Hopper dance" in Antarctica with everyone's favorite flightless bird. After going viral, Greenpeace actually sent him, and now we have the proof.
Before getting into the groove, he posted a video, captioned "stagefright," saying he didn't feel like going through with the dancing part after all he's learned about the region and its need for protection.
“I thought this was gonna be like a silly thing, and I thought I was just gonna dance with penguins,” he said about the trip. “It’s turned into kind of another thing, about protecting the Antarctic waters, this huge conservation movement that’s going on.”
With a new environmentalist approach to the whole thing, the actor is using his video to garner more support for Greenpeace's bid to turn the region into the most protected area in the world, linking to ProtectTheAntarctic.org in the post's caption and pushing for another 800,000 signatures.
This isn't the first time Harbour has used Twitter in hilarious but super nice ways, showing up in a follower's high school senior portrait shoot after she asked, and even offering to officiate a follower's wedding.
