Gaming is complex, so catch up each week with the short and dirty in Reboot: This Week In Games.

This week saw the release of FIFA 14 with a huge amount of love coming from its number one fan, Drake. The man himself went toe-to-toe with a real midfielder from the New York Red Bulls for the FIFA 14 midnight release. Dizzy also dropped copies all over NYC during a street promotion of FIFA and his new album Nothing Was the Same.

Valve released a trio of unveilings, including a new operating system, a variety of Steam Machines and a brand new gamepad that lacks thumbsticks but may be the most accurate ever made.

Rockstar, makers of Grand Theft Auto V, are gearing up for the game's online multiplayer release on October 1st. Overwhelmed with success they warn the huge number of players is going to result in some gridlock.

Finally we wrap-up with some great looking game trailers released this week. A playable Deathstroke in Batman: Arkham Origins, new Metal Gear Solid V gameplay and continue to get creepy with The Evil Within.

Trailer Highlights

Lets take a look at some the most exciting game traliers this week: First off Kojima and Metal Gear Solid V released a special demo for last weeks Tokyo Game Show. Check out these twelve minutes of a side ops mission featuring a new tagging system that players will feel similar to the system in Far Cry 3, to find and capture targets.

Check out this first look at Deathstroke in action from the upcoming prequel Batman: Arkham Origins. We've known that Deathsroke would be a playable character for some time but this is the first time we've seen Slade Wilson in action.

Square Enix has released a trailer for Nosgoth, revealing a free-to-play game that's set in the Legacy of Kain universe.Nosgoth is a team-based multiplayer game where opponents will assume the roles of either Humans or Vampires and battle it out. Humans specialize in ranged combat and magical items while Vampires will claw your face off or lift you high in the sky to drop players on their heads as well as some supernatural tricks.

Finally take a look at this "Pure Horror," 12-minute gameplay video from the first act of The Evil Within, the new survival horror game from Shinji Mikami maker of Resident Evil among others, who returns to complete one final masterpiece before he retires.

Valve Unveils Steam Machines

This week Valve dropped of trio of big reveals. That will change the way we think about micro-consoles and quite possibly change the console game forever. Valve announced a new operating system, SteamOS, the launch of multiple Steam Machines from various manufactures the thumbstickless Steam Controller. "Basketball isn't easy"

NBA 2K14 finally drops on October 1. Check out our review of how the reign of 2K Basketball continues. "The on-court action of an NBA 2K game has likely never looked more similar from one year to the next than it does from 2K13 to 2K14. Fittingly for a game that has been exploring every nook and cranny of a set of hardware for eight years, NBA 2K14 is more about refinement than revolution." Read the review here.

This week on "GTA V"

Earlier this week Rockstar advised players to avoid using Grand Theft Auto V's garages while it investigates a fix for disappearing vehicle. Vehicles and their upgrades are suppose to be saved when players leave them in their safe house garages but as many players have experience the vehicles instead simply disappear.

Any new game has growing pains but with the huge success of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar is a little worried about the online launch on October 1. Rockstar is scaling up servers for the launch but there are sure to be some problems but "rest assured we’ll be monitoring and actively doing all we can to smooth such things out as they happen, but we need your help to find them, as well as your feedback to help fine tune all of the game's systems so everything is perfectly balanced." Stated Rockstar.

Rockstar also announced that Grand Theft Auto V Online will have microstransactions in the form of cash bundles since single player cash totals will not carry over into the online world.

iFruit is Rockstar's companion application for Grand Theft Auto V out now for iOS. The Android and Windows phone versions are not yet available but that hasn't stopped enterprising scammers from making up their own fake apps. Drake loves "FIFA"

Drake loves FIFA. So for the launch of FIFA 14 Drake went to head-to-head against New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill in an epic 88-minute match.

To further celebrate the release of FIFA 14 and his new album Nothing Was The Same, Drake hit the streets of New York City to give away some free swag and a mobile game car to give fans a chance to play the latest FIFA installment. Check out the video above for the Drake, FIFA love fest.
