It’s been nearly two months now since reality television stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were released from prison after being pardoned by President Donald Trump. The pair was indicted in May of 2019 for financial crimes and reported to prison in January of 2023.

Upon the news that they had been pardoned, many fans waited anxiously to see the first glimpses of the high-profile television stars free. Before long, a picture began circulating online of Julie that was taken soon after her release. She appeared much different from how fans are used to seeing her, with a makeup-free face and dark hair with grey roots.

In a recent episode of the podcast Chrisley Confessions 2.0, Todd recalled the moment he saw his wife without her signature blond locks, and it’s safe to say he didn’t hold back from sharing his honest reaction.

“I’m not going to lie. When I first saw you when I got out of that car, I started thinking about going back,” he said, causing Julie to gasp.

Obviously, Julie didn’t have the option to see her usual hair stylist while behind bars. Since her release, however, her hair is now back to the light blonde that Todd says he has become accustomed to over the last 30 years of knowing her.

"Was there a horrible picture that came out of me? Yeah. The way I flip that is, look at me now. People think I look even better because that horrible picture was out there to begin with,” Julie said of her post-relief photograph.

"Listen, I will say, you set the bar low. You had to go nowhere but up," Todd said in his signature straight and to the point way.

"That wasn't very nice," Julie responded.

While Todd’s critiques about his wife’s appearance may seem harsh to some, those who have watched the couple during their years on television are used to the way these two jokingly interact.
