The Walking Dead Season 5 Premiere

If you’ve been looking forward to The Walking Dead season finale and the Fear the Walking Dead season premiere, then you’re going to be thrilled to hear that both are playing on the big screen, according to EW.

AMC and Fathom Events are joining forces to bring both zombie shows into over 750 theaters across the U.S., on April 15 for “Survival Sunday: The Walking Dead & Fear the Walking Dead.” Fans will be able to catch the season eight finale of TWD and the season four premiere of Fear at the same time.

While you can watch both shows at their normally scheduled time at 9 p.m. ET on April 15, the AMC event will include “exclusive bonus content,” which will play before the show, at 8:30 p.m. ET. Additionally, the theater event won’t have commercials.

Tickets go on sale on Friday and can be bought from Fathom Events’ website, while TWD Fan Reward Club members can order tickets now. A list of participating theaters can be found on the Fathom Events website.

In November, it was announced that Lennie James’ Morgan Jones character from TWD would crossover into Fear. While the Morgan character will join Fear, this doesn’t mean he’ll be leaving TWD right away, Deadline reported. “Even though Morgan is going to be featured on Fear, he has a lot of story left on The Walking Dead,” showrunner Scott M. Gimple said in a statement in November. “Morgan’s arch on The Walking Dead season eight positioned him for the story on Fear. ... It was also important to see Fear‘s world and characters through new yet familiar eyes.”

The crossover is set to happen in 2018, which means it’s possible that it could either take place in TWD’s season eight finale, or Fear’s season four premiere.

EW also shared an exclusive deleted scene from the next TWD episode, where Rick and Daryl discuss their relationship. Be sure to watch that clip before you catch The Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead in the theater or at home.
