Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors’ relationship has been heating up, as the actor is in the throes of a domestic violence case.
TMZ caught up with Good’s former Cousin Skeeter costar, Robert Ri’chard, to hear his thoughts on the budding romance—and if Good made the right call in pursuing something with Majors at this time.
“I think that she’s one of the most iconic people on the planet,” Ri’chard said of Good. “I mean we love Meagan Good right? I think the entire world does. We use her as a standard for what beauty is both inside and out; she’s a Godly woman, so we have nothing to worry about.”
When asked if Good is making a mistake in dating Majors right now, Ri’chard said, “I’m sure she’s not the first person who stood behind a man who might be wrongfully judged for something that he may or may not have done. I don’t know the guy personally though.”
He then went on to call Good a “great judge of character.”
“I don’t see Meagan ever putting herself in anything that would jeopardize how people see her," he added.
Regarding Majors’ case, Ri’chard said, “We should all be innocent until proven guilty. It’s important to let … the facts come out as they may.”
Reports that Good and Majors are dating first surfaced in May when the pair was spotted at a movie theater in Los Angeles. They were then seen together, holding hands at LAX, before Majors took out Good, her mom, and her sister for a family dinner at Red Lobster.
Majors’ case is still ongoing. In late March, his ex accused the actor of physically attacking her. He was arraigned on a number of charges, including several counts of assault in the third degree, attempted assault in the third degree, aggravated assault in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree. If convicted, he could be incarcerated for up to a year.
