Mac Miller’s brother appears to be one person who’s not excited for Machine Gun Kelly’s new movie Good News.
Directed and written by Tim Sutton, Good News is reportedly inspired by a slew of late rappers, including Mac Miller, Pop Smoke, Lil Peep, Juice WRLD, among others, per Deadline. While the feature film is considered fiction, the title could be linked to Miller, whose first posthumous single is also titled “Good News,” from the rapper’s album Circles. While it’s not confirmed that the film’s title has anything to do with the late rapper, Miller’s brother, Miller McCormick seems to have taken issue with the project.
On Thursday McCormick wrote on his Instagram Story, “Fuck you, fuck your movie, at least change the title.”

Mac Miller Fund to Award $1,000 Grants to 75 Diverse Artists in Pennsylvania
The Mac Miller Fund from the Pittsburgh Foundation has announced plans to award $1,000 grants to 75 Pennsylvanian artists of color, with applications now open.
The film is set to start production on July 8 in Los Angeles and will be produced by Jib Polhemus and Rivulet Media. “Colson Baker is that rare talent who is ascending at an incredible pace both in film and music,” Rivulet Media’s Rob Paris said of MGK. “He is exactly the kind of artist that Rivulet Media is looking to partner with and we couldn’t be more excited to support him on both fronts, especially with Tim Sutton’s powerful screenplay and vision, which are custom-tailored to Colson’s formidable skills.”
MGK has already taken his talents to the big screen for Netflix’s The Dirt, Project Power, and Bird Box. He’s gearing up to appear in the projects The Last Son with Sam Worthington and One Way with Kevin Bacon. MGK released his last album, Tickets to My Downfall in September 2020, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Good News doesn’t yet have a release date.
