Twitter is taking another step away from the lawless free-for-all that used to be the Internet. The social media giant is now blocking tweets that are obviously plagiarized.
Twitter, of course, is not going around policing stolen tweets on its own, but if you make a valid complaint that people are copying your original tweets without giving you credit, they'll step in.
That's what happened with freelance writer Olga Lexell, according to Mashable.

As The Verge reported, she notified Twitter about the plagiarism, mostly by spam bots, explaining that as a writer she makes "my living writing jokes (and I use some of my tweets to test out jokes). I then explained that as such, the jokes are my intellectual property"
