Chris Evans might have put Captain America behind him, but he's not done saving folks just yet. The actor is starring in Netflix's upcoming drama The Red Sea Diving Resort, based on the true story of how Ethiopian refugees were rescued during the country's civil war in the '70s and '80s.

The Red Sea Diving Resort follows secret agents as they craft a fake desert resort on the Red Sea in Sudan as a front for bringing Ethiopian Jews to Israel. Evans plays Ari Kidron, a Mossad agent who heads the operation with the help of Michael K. Williams, who is playing a local named Kabede Bimro. Ben Kingsley, Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola, Michiel Huisman, Chris Chalk, and Greg Kinnear also star in the film. The resort was a real place, where agents hosted guests during the day and ran airlifts at night. The resort 's actual purpose was kept entirely secret from Sudanese authorities, as there were no known Jews in the country at the time. (Sudanese authorities did secretly help with a later airlift operation dubbed Operation Moses.)

“The story is as timely now as it was then," writer and director Gideon Raff told USA Today. "The plight of refugees is in the news every minute, every day. Their struggles to reach a safe harbor and give their children a better future has never been more relevant than today.”

Take a look at the trailer up top and catch it on Netflix on July 31.
