Robert Vito, an actor best known for appearing in Spy Kids, was arrested on Friday following an alleged domestic violence incident.

Law enforcement responded to the 37-year-old’s Los Angeles-area home on Friday night after receiving a call about the alleged incident, TMZ reports.

Sources connected to the situation told the outlet that Vito and his girlfriend got into a verbal argument that allegedly turned physical, with the actor reportedly pushing her into an unspecified piece of furniture. The actor also allegedly threw his young son onto a couch before knocking him down.

Police reportedly discovered the son relatively unharmed, but Vito’s girlfriend had visible marks on her body.

Vito was arrested on Friday night for felony domestic violence and released after paying a $50,000 bond the following morning.

Vito starred as Rez in Spy Kids 3: Game Over in 2003. He also had credits in a number of TV shows in the early 2000s including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Bernie Mac Show, and American Dreams.
