Last weekend, after one too many drinks, Shia was arrested in Georgia and proceeded to run his mouth.

Shia LaBeouf's lawyer has said that the actor is not an alcoholic, but rather can not control his urge to drink once he begins. Doug Andrews, who is representing LaBeouf, made the comments to TMZ on Friday.

After an alcohol fueled night out last weekend in Savannah, Georgia, Shia was asked to leave by police after unsuccessfully asking around for a cigarette. He refused. The actor was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and obstruction. From there the actor's night only continued to deteriorate. Footage was released that showed LaBeouf berating officers and saying some racially-charged things.

Following the incident, which took place last Saturday, LaBeouf released an apology.

LaBeouf is in Georgia shooting the film The Peanut Butter Falcon. Andrews said that Shia will not be having a drink until shooting for the film has concluded, and he will then seek professional help.

This is not the first occasion Shia has gotten wasted and gotten into a fight, verbal or otherwise. Back in April of this year at a bowling alley in L.A., a drunk Shia got into it with a bartender who refused to serve him French fries. The Transformers star oddly shot back by calling the bartender a "fucking racist." A month later, he was hit with a $5 million lawsuit.
