Charlie Noxon, the son of Weeds and Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and writer/journalist Christopher Noxon, died in a skiing accident on New Year's Eve.

Per a report from TMZ, 20-year-old Charlie Noxon was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital following an "accident on the slopes" of Park City, Utah. Police sources cited in the article say that Noxon fell, at which point it was apparent that he required immediate medical assistance. He was then transported to a nearby hospital via a University of Utah medivac helicopter.

At the time of the incident, the report adds, Charlie Noxon was with his father Christopher and two siblings in Park City. Additional details on the nature of the accident have not been released.

Kohan and Noxon were married for 21 years. Their divorce was reported in December 2018. At the time of this writing, neither had released a public statement on the tragic death of their son Charlie, who appeared in the 2008 Weeds episode "Head Cheese."

In a statement to Page Six published Wednesday, Park City Mountain VP and COO Mike Goar expressed his condolences.

"Park City Mountain, Park City Mountain Ski Patrol, and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest's family and friends," Goar said.
