I asked Andrew Yang what he thought of his limited edition Andrew Yang + Donald Glover merch— he told me “It’s beautiful!”

When I asked him what it meant to see a line of people lined around the block for his pop-up today, he told me, “A lot of joy.” pic.twitter.com/F37vunMDAL

Donald Glover is throwing his support behind Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang.

On Wednesday afternoon, Glover took to Instagram to announce a pop-up event hosted in collaboration with the Yang campaign. Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino, did not reveal many details about what was in store, simply confirming there would be a limited supply of collaborative merch with all proceeds going toward Yang's campaign. Glover also made sure to note there would be no music.

The Donald Glover x Andrew Yang pop-up will go down at noon Thursday at 507 N. Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles.

Hours after the event kicks off, Yang is expected to take the stage at Loyola Marymount University in LA for the last Democratic presidential primary debate of 2019. He will be joined by fellow candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and billionaire businessman/philanthropist Tom Steyer.

Though Glover has not formally endorsed Yang, he joins a growing list of celebrities who have backed the 44-year-old entrepreneur. Yang, who is campaigning on a platform of universal basic income, has received donations from Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, investor Sam Altman, actors Nicolas Cage and Noah Centineo, as well as Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo, who performed at Yang's November rally in Des Moines.

I will put our celebrity donor list of Nicolas Cage, Rivers Cuomo, Noah Centineo and Sam Altman up against anyone’s. 😀
