In a completely harmless Instagram post, Captain Marvel star Brie Larson posed with Thor's hammer. "Not to be whatever, but... told you I could lift it," she joked.

Natalie Portman, who is set to reprise her role as Jane Foster in Thor: Love and Thunder, took ownership over the hammer in a reply. "Hey muscles, easy with my hammer," she replied, once again confirming that Foster will become female Thor in the next film.

Trolls, however, weren't happy with Larson implying she could lift Thor's hammer.

Mjölnir can only be wielded by those deemed worthy, and so far only Thor, Captain America, and Vision have been able to lift it. A number of men in the comments (and yes it is all men complaining), have objected to Larson holding a prop hammer. "It's not for you to decide," one user wrote. "I'm sorry, but what makes Captain Marvel worthy? Yeah she's powerful but just because said she could lift it doesn't mean she actually can," another replied.

In response to some of the more fragile MCU fans complaining in the comments, others took to Twitter to highlight just how silly those scrubs' responses are.
