With the promise of “more to come in June,” Sony released a brief trailer for the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Remake during their “State of Play” presentation earlier today.

Here's the Teaser Trailer for #FinalFantasy VII Remake that was introduced just now at #StateofPlay.

Most of the plans are already in place in the run up to launch, so please bear with us a little longer until we can release more information next month – Tetsuya Nomura #FF7R pic.twitter.com/LLMqWw8e9x

The clip features footage of Cloud, Aerith, among others in cutaway scenes interwoven with gameplay shots.

Sony first announced the Final Fantasy 7 Remake during their E3 2015 press conference before encountering developmental issues two years later. The following year, director Tetsuya Nomura conceded that the game was announced “too early,” adding that they were forced into making the news public in wake of mounting rumors surrounding the project.

"I am well aware of the fact that we announced it too early," Nomura said, perPolygon. “But even in the industry, word was beginning to spread that we were working on the game, so we just decided not to keep it more secret and officially reveal it.”

That is all in the past now because, as producer Yoshinori Kitase stated in a blog post that accompanied the trailer, “the long awaited moment has come. Sorry to keep you all waiting so long!”

Check out the trailer above to see if it was well worth the wait.
