If you're a fan of Will Smith's The Bucket List or Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talks, know that this new business deal could be potentially huge for them.

Today, Westbrook Entertainment, the talent management and content company that Will and Jada founded with Miguel Melendez (pictured above) and Kosaku Yada in 2015, has been acquired by Three Six Zero, an international entertainment and music management company that has been big in bringing British talents worldwide. Three Six Zero's rosters included global phenoms like Calvin Harris and Tiesto, as well as  Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse star Shameik Moore. Today, they add Westbrook, and all of the talent and power they hold, into their camp.

Mark Gillespie

“Bringing Miguel, his clients and his management team to Three Six Zero is an exciting next step on our journey to expand our entertainment management and intellectual property business,” said Mark Gillespie, CEO of Three Six Zero. In 2018, Three Six Zero branched out into film, releasing their first project Vox Lux (which starred Natalie Portman. One has to wonder if Melendez, who is executive producer on Red Table Talks and The Bucket List, will be able to help Three Six Zero build that side of their organization.

“Mark’s vision for the future combined with Three Six Zero’s incredible talent roster will only enhance our ability to innovate in the management and content creation space,” said Melendez. “Mark and I believe in the power of bringing talent together and leading with their artistry and creativity on all levels.”

According to Will Smith, this feels like a natural progression of the work Westbrook and Three Six Zero have already done. "We’ve had a very close and collaborative relationship with Mark and his artists for some time," Smith said, "and love his approach to this business. I’m beyond excited to join forces with this globally minded and extremely talented team."

Time will tell what this acquisition will mean for Three Six Zero and Westbrook, but like anything with Will and Jada's names attached, the world will definitely be watching.
