Lil Rel Howery, who's best known for his comedic roles in Get Out and The Carmichael Show, premiered his FOX comedy series, Rel, last Sunday. But he won't be the only big name on the series, which also stars Sinbad, Jordan L. Jones, and Jessica Moore a.k.a Jess Hilarious. Vic Mensa is slated to make his TV acting debut on the show's upcoming episode, "Laundry Room."

In the episode, Rel will go head-to-head with Mensa's character, MANMAN, who's described as an "outwardly tough, swaggering gang leader who occupies the laundry room in Rel’s building for his gang meeting [and] brags about his crimes on Instagram-Live." Rel and MANMAN will also argue about the "virtues of gangs."

The multi-camera comedy follows Rel, a recently divorced father of two who's trying to piece his life back together by juggling his dating life and being a long-distance father. The series also takes place in Howery and Mensa's hometown, Chicago.

"Lil Rel is creating a new platform for Chicago comedy in an authentic, intelligent way," Vic Mensa, who through his SaveMoneySaveLife foundation recently hosted an anti-bait truck shoe drive in Chi-Town, told Complex. "When he asked me to be on an episode based off of my favorite stand-up bit of his, I was psyched."

Mensa's guest-starring episode is slated to air Sept. 30 on FOX at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Howery shared his appreciation for everyone who's watched the show so far, which you can check out in the Instagram below:

The pilot episode is available for everyone to watch on YouTube (above), Amazon Video, or FOX, for the Free.99.
