Major retailers have been following Wal-Mart's example and pulling Confederate flag merchandise from their shelves this week, but one place you can still find this Civil War symbol is on your phone. Earlier tonight, Mashable reported that the Apple App Store and Google Play still carry apps that tout the Confederate flag and are available to download.

At this time, a search for "confederate flag" or "southern pride" on the App Store doesn't turn up any results—but Google Play still does have wallpaper apps for Android. For $0.99, users can purchase "Southern Pride Wallpaper!", which allows them to download images of the confederate flag and other civil war paraphernalia.

The app description states the wallpapers are "perfect for any southerner or rebel who's American, loves flags, lives in Alabama, United States, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, on a farm, love deer hunting, bears, nascar, bbq, skulls, bullets, cowboys, cowgirls, boots, twang, country music, hillbilly, hillbillies, rifles, machine guns, ammo, rednecks, trailer parks, or fought in the confederate war."

The app currently has a 3.6 rating. There are several other apps like this one currently available on Google Play, along with many Civil War games.

On Tuesday, Googleconfirmed it will take down images for the Confederate flag from its ads and its shopping service, but the internet giant has yet to reveal any details about what it will do with Google Play.

Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted on Sunday "eradicating racism & removing the symbols & words that feed it" would be a way to honor the lives of the nine people shot and killed at a Bible study in Charleston, South Carolina last week by Dylann Roof.
