UPDATED 10/15/21 6:17 p.m. ET: Tyga has shared a message in response to the domestic violence allegations Camaryn Swanson made against him.
“I want everyone to know that the allegations against me are false,” he wrote in an Instagram Stories post. “I was not arrested. I took myself into the police station and cooperated. I have not been charged with any crime.”

UPDATED 10/12/21 2:20 p.m. ET: On Tuesday, Tyga was arrested in Los Angeles and booked for felony domestic violence, according to Vulture. The outlet reports Tyga is expected to post bail later today to be released, and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office will receive the case to decide what charges to bring against the rapper.
See original story below.
A source close to Tyga claims the incident occurred after Swanson came over to the rapper’s home around 3 a.m., even after trying to dissuade her from doing so. The rapper allowed her to enter his residence after she was allegedly standing at his front door “shouting at the top of her lungs.”
Swanson’s mother eventually picked her up from Tyga’s home. She later contacted police to accuse Tyga of putting his hands on her during their argument. A felony domestic violence report was taken after officers noticed “visible marks” on her.
Swanson disputed TMZ’s account of the incident on her IG Stories, writing, “I’ve been emotionally, mentally, and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore,” accompanied by a photo of herself with apparent marks around her left eye.
“I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited. When I tried to leave, he physically assaulted [me] and refused to let me leave for hours,” she wrote in response to TMZ’s report.
“I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself,” she captioned a video showcasing her apparent injuries, as well as what looks to be bloody marks on her sweater and on the cuff of her sleeve.
Police visited Tyga’s home Monday morning, but he declined to speak with them. However, the rapper will reportedly discuss the incident with authorities tomorrow.
