Drake recently made history with the release of his latest album, Certified Lover Boy, when nine out of the 10 songs on the project all debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, tying the Beatles for most top 10 hits on the same album and just notching past Michael Jackson, who held the record since Thriller dropped in 1982.
When Michael’s son, Prince Jackson, was asked by TooFab if he thought Drake might be as big as his dad was in his prime, Prince responded honestly, saying that he didn’t think MJ’s run could ever be replicated.
“I mean everybody has their own definition of great, and all respect to Drake everything that he does,” Prince said. “But what my father and my family accomplished, in the time that they did it, is very unlikely never to be matched again.”
Prince also touched on Britney Spears’ 13-year conservatorship that she recently posted about, saying that he thinks his father would want Britney to take control of her life.
Spears took to social media this week to share a lengthy post describing the frustration surrounding her situation and seemingly called out her family in the process.
“I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone … no door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off,” she wrote in the caption. “I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there.”
She added, “If you’re like my family who says things like ‘sorry, you’re in a conservatorship’ … probably thinking you’re different so they can fuck with you !!!! Thankfully I found an amazing attorney Mathew Rosengart who has helped change my life.”
