Lil Uzi Vert has once again been spotted at a wedding, surprising guests at a Cambodian couple’s ceremony in his hometown of Philadelphia this past week.
In clips posted to social media by guests at the wedding, Uzi could be seen gifting cash to the married couple, and dancing around with a huge smile on his face.
The rapper was definitely invited to this wedding, with one guest at the ceremony revealing as such in an Instagram post, as HipHopDX pointed out. “Vert was invited, he didn’t crash the wedding,” they wrote alongside numerous photos of Uzi having a great time. Perhaps he’s trying to be rap’s version of Bill Murray, showing up in random places like some sort of larger-than-life urban legend. Or, and this one is more likely, maybe he just knows the happy couple.
This isn’t the first time Uzi has been spotted at a wedding this year, as he showed up in numerous Instagram photos and videos dancing at a Palestinian couple’s wedding in August. That celebration reportedly took place in Edison, New Jersey, although it’s not clear how Uzi knew the people involved. “Free Palestine, you know that,” Uzi said in one clip from the night.
In other bizarre Uzi-related news, the rapper said his $24 million forehead diamond was ripped off of him after he jumped into the crowd at Rolling Loud Miami earlier this year. “I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out,” Uzi told TMZ last month. “I’m feeling good. I still have the diamond so I feel good.”
