Lil Durk is headed toward a huge milestone.

According to projections published by Hits Daily Double, the Chicago native is expected to top the Billboard 200 charts with 7220, his long-awaited studio album that arrived on Friday. The record is projected to move 120,000 to 130,000 album equivalent units within its first week, which will effectively end the Encanto soundtrack’s eight-week reign.

If the forecasts are correct, 7220 will mark Durk’s first No. 1 solo album of his career. Its predecessor, 2020’s The Voice, debuted at No. 46 with just 23,000 units (Thursday sales number, not a full week), while his 2021 joint album, The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Baby, debuted at the top spot with 150,000 units.

Alamo/SME's Lil Durk will score his first #1 solo album this week, as 7220 is on pace to unseat Encanto's 8-week run atop the album chart. Durk's 7220 is projected to be in the 120-130k range. @HITSDD https://t.co/DH6c0WPix2 pic.twitter.com/gQNedmJynP

7220 delivered 17 tracks, including “AHHH HA” and “Golden Child,” all of which appeared in the top 40 of the U.S. Apple Music chart. The project also included production by Southside, TM88, Cubebeatz, and Hitmaker, as well as guest appearances by Gunna, Summer Walker, Morgan Wallen, and Future.

In support of the album’s release, Lil Durk will hit the road for the 7220 Tour. The U.S. trek begins April 8 in Phoenix and will make stops in Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, NYC, and Chicago. Check out the full dates below.
