Karol G has shared her third studio album KG0516 via Universal Latin.
Featuring guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, J Balvin, Ludacris, Anuel AA, Ozuna, and more, the 16-track project explores a scope of musical genres, including Reggaeton, pop, country, bachata, and regional Mexican stylings. The album includes previously released songs “Tusa” with Nicki Minaj, “Ay DiOs Mío!,” “Bichota,” and “Location” with Anuel and Balvin.
The album title is formatted after a flight number, with her initials KG and the numbers representing May 16, 2006, the date she signed her first album deal. “The intention of the album’s title is to welcome her fans on the flight to her new artistic era, where she transcends new musical dimensions,” according to a press release.
The singer and Latin Grammy winner recently appeared on Sneaker Shopping with Complex, and performed her album cut “El Barco” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She announced the album on March 16 with a teaser that starred her as a flight attendant, a passenger, and the plane’s pilots.
